Following the collapse of the Senate’s health care bill earlier this week, President Donald Trump arranged a lunch meeting with all of the GOP members of the Senate in order to convince them to continue to work on the legislation.
President Trump told Republican Senators should vote for an option to just repeal Obamacare before saying that the GOP should just let Obama die.
He also warned GOP Senators what awaits them if they vote against repeal:
President Trump: I was very surprised when I heard a couple of my friends, they really were, and are… They may not be much longer, but… But no (to Senator Heller) you didn’t go out there. This was the one we were worried about. You weren’t there. But you’re going to be. Look he wants to remain a senator, doesn’t he?
