USAA Now to Stop Running Ads on Maddow’s Show After Facing HUGE Backlash For Pulling Ads From Hannity

After facing a huge backlash for pulling ads from Fox News’ Sean Hannity, USAA announced that they will also be pulling ads from liberal MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s show.

Earlier this week, TGP reported USAA, an insurance, bank and financial services company that caters to active duty military, veterans and their families, is getting slammed by members after announcing on Twitter Wednesday night the company was withdrawing advertising on the Sean Hannity show in response to pressure from liberal activists trying to silence Hannity by cutting off his advertising base. It was not stated by USAA if they advertised on Hannity’s Fox News Channel show or his nationally syndicated radio show.

The effort to drive Hannity off the air was promoted by Democratic Party front group Media Matters which posted a list of Hannity’s advertisers this week for liberals to complain to after Hannity pursued the unsolved 2016 murder of Democratic Party activist Seth Rich in Washington, D.C. and possible connections to Wikileaks.

USAA is now pulling ads from Rachel Maddow’s show! Via The Daily Caller:

After facing a backlash for pulling advertisements from Fox News’ host Sean Hannity’s show, USAA will no longer run ads on liberal MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s show.

The insurance company originally claimed that it would no longer run ads on “Hannity” because of a company policy against airing ads on “opinion shows.” The Media Research Center then revealed that the company had placed ads on MSNBC shows hosted by Maddow, Chris Hayes and Lawrence O’Donnell, all of whom present the news from a liberal viewpoint. USAA told ABC News that it aired ads on the three shows by accident, and will take steps to ensure that that doesn’t happen again in the future. That announcement followed USAA members flooding the company’s Facebook page with angry comments. Many commenters said they would take their business elsewhere in retaliation for MSNBC pulling the ads.

Americans are fed up with companies sticking their noses into politics. We don’t want to hear the political opinion of USAA, Kellogg’s or opinions of brain dead Hollywood celebrities. We will vote with our feet and choose NOT to buy your products or watch your movies.

Sean Hannity is a huge supporter of veterans so shame on USAA for piling on after a Media Matters hit job.
