TWO POLICE OFFICERS WOUNDED BY THROWN ROCKS. UPDATES AT END OF ARTICLE.
Milwaukee police confirmed reports of gunfire during a second round of protests Sunday night over the police shooting death of armed Black criminal Sylville Smith. Police also reported they used an armored vehicle to rescue a wounded person who was shot.
(UPDATES: 11:35 p.m. CDT: Tim Pool reports “automatic gunfire” was heard by several people including an experienced reporter, saying it was likely police.)

Reporter Tim Pool who is broadcasting via Periscope said the wounded person apparently was shot in the neck.
Pool interviewed witnesses who said the victim was initially carried away to an apartment building for safety but was then brought back out where police rescued him.
Rocks and bottles were thrown by rioters at police and at reporters who fled the scene.
