DALLAS: ELEVEN OFFICERS SHOT BY TWO SNIPERS, FIVE OFFICERS KILLED, CIVILIAN WOUNDED

Reports from Dallas aired on Fox News state that none of the shooters are in custody, police are negotiating with one of the shooters and that 11 officers were shot–three of those officers have died–and one civilian was wounded.

UPDATE WITH STATEMENT BY CHIEF BROWN:

Reports also state that the shooters were wearing masks and body armor.

UPDATE: Dallas Rapid Transit Authority states one of their officers has died and that three others are wounded with non-life threatening wounds.

“Four DART police officers were shot in downtown Dallas. 1 deceased, others not life-threatening. No IDs yet. Updates via twitter.”

MORE UPDATES: KDFW-TV reports via Fox News that two snipers shot ten police officers and three of those officers have been killed-one DART and two Dallas police officers.

“Chief Brown says total officers shot is now 11. One civilian wounded.”

UPDATE 11:20 p.m. CDT: KDFW reports that a fourth officer has died. Three Dallas police officers have died and one DART officer has also died from wounds in the sniper attacks.

UPDATE 2:00 P.M. CDT:

“It has been a devastating night. We are sad to report a fifth officer has died.”
