Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan met today in Washington DC.
The two released a joint statement after the meeting.
They had a “great conversation” and they recognize “there are important areas of common ground.”

GOP chairman Reince Priebus said the meeting was a “positive step” toward party unity.
