Piers Morgan Slams Michelle Fields for “Utterly Ridiculous” Battery Charges Against Trump Campaign Manager–
Last Tuesday Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski was charged with battery for brushing up against a female reporter at a campaign rally.
Video was released that shows the reporter, Michelle Fields, did not flinch, did not change her facial expression, did not even notice Lewandowski during the incident. Fields later charged Lewandowsky with “battery.”
Fields also wrote about the alleged attack the day after the incident.
It was filled with lies and inaccuracies.
Fields was not “jolted backwards.” She was not “yanked down.” Lewandowski did not “try to throw reporters to the ground.”
After the charges were announced last week Piers Morgan went off on a Twitter tirade in defense of Lewandowski and men everywhere.
Morgan pointed out a male reporter would be “rightly mocked” if he tried to press charges for the brush-up.
Via Breitbart:
If a male reporter tried to claim this was ‘battery’, he’d be rightly mocked.
Toughen up, @MichelleFields. https://t.co/JuysRTwRTJ— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 29, 2016
“Utterly pathetic”
That’s it?
This constitutes a criminal charge of ‘battery’?
How utterly pathetic. https://t.co/FYgow4cAjr— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 29, 2016
Piers Morgan went on with Greta Van Susteren tonight On the Record to discuss the Fields’ fiasco.
Piers Morgan: I thought it was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. I’ve been an on the road reporter. Greta, you’re a tough journalist. The idea that you watch that video and anyone with a brain thinks that that is some kind of assault or battery they’re living in cloud cukoo land… Has it come to this?… The video was utterly tame and utterly pointless.
