2012 Republican Nominee Mitt Romney went on with Neil Cavuto Friday following his scathing public attacks on Donald Trump on Thursday.
in 2012 Mitt Romney praised Donald Trump saying Trump shown an extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works.
This was after Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney.
On Friday Mitt Romney said he will not vote for Donald Trump if he is the GOP nominee.
Mitt also said he would like to see an “open” or brokered convention where party elites woul pick the candidate.
Romney spoke with Neil Cavuto:
“I’d like to see someone besides Donald Trump become the nominee outright on the first ballot. But if that doesn’t happen then I’d like to see an open convention… If he (Donald Trump) wants to leave (the party) that’s fine. Everybody has a right to do whatever they want to do… I’m not going to support Donald Trump for the candidate for president… I will probably vote for a conservative who runs or I will write in a name. But I cannot in good conscience vote for a person who has been as degrading, and disruptive and unhinged as I’ve seen in Donald Trump.
Wow.
