A Milwaukee police officer was injured today in a shooting on the north side.
Suspect is described as a black male, mid 20’s, with a thin build and long pony tail.

Milwaukee police are investigating the report of an officer shot on the city’s north side.
Milwaukee police chief Ed Flynn said two plain-clothed Wauwatosa detectives and one uniformed Wauwatosa police officer were investigating a burglary and located a person or vehicle they were looking for near Brown Deer.
The suspect opened fire on the officers, and Flynn said at least one officer returned fire.
There are markings on the ground of at least 11 shell casings in a parking lot at the complex.
Flynn said a 52-year-old officer with 25 years experience on the force was injured in the exchange.
