Japan was reportedly unsuccessful in contacting ISIS over the hostage crisis.

An ISIS spokesman told Japanese broadcaster NHK that the group would release a statement “soon” about the hostages.
The deadline passed Friday morning.

The terror group released audio and video of the second Japanese hostage Kenji Goto Jogo on Saturday holding a photo of his slaughtered colleague.

ISIS also released a new video with Kenji Goto Jogo saying, “Don’t let Abe(?) Kill Me”

Hostage Kenji Goto Jog speaks in the video:

“You did not take the threats of my captives seriously and you did not act within 72 hours. To my beloved wife I love you. And I miss my two daughters. Please do not let them do the same in my case. You must continue to pressure our government.”
