Maryland liberals held a rally today to bash conservative Republican Michael Peroutka, a nominee for the Anne Arundel County Council.
The rally included far left Maryland House Speaker Michael E. Busch (D-Anne Arundel) and Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.). They were angry about Peroutka’s one-time membership to a controversial secessionist group.
Only two people turned out who weren’t political operatives.
The Washington Post reported a “small crowd” turned out for the rally. They forgot to mention that only two people actually showed up, the rest were Democrat operatives and speakers.
The Baltimore Sun and Capitol Gazette also ran reports on the rally but neither newpaper reported on the size of the rally.
Here are the actual numbers from the rally.
There were:
21 Democratic politicians & staffers & minions including Congresswoman Donna Edwards
6 reporters (including Washington Post & Baltimore Sun)
5 Police Officers
4 Peroutka supporters
2 Citizens
1 Opponent Patrick Armstrong’s campaign manager
1 Subject of Democrats’ lies: Michael Anthony Peroutka
Note: There was a lady and her poodle who happened by the scene, she spoke with a Police Officer and left midway through the press conference with her dog.
