On Tuesday Progressives Today posted a firsthand account of the lax care at the St. Louis VA at Jefferson Barracks. Evita Simone Allen visited the St. Louis VA medical center at Jefferson Barracks to tend to an ailing uncle. “Vita” spoke exclusively toProgressives Today about the filth, feces, urine and trash she saw piled up in her uncle’s room at the VA.
The St. Louis VA apologized to Evita Allen on Wednesday.
This week another concerned family member and VA employee spoke with Progressives Today about their experience with the St. Louis VA at Jefferson Barracks. The employee described alleged mistreatment of veterans in St. Louis.
