Susan ‘Medea’ Benjamin announced on Twitter Monday night she is being held in a jail cell at the Cairo, Egypt airport:

Benjamin is in Egypt to lead a delegation of activists to Hamas-led Gaza to mark International Women’s Day later this week.
Code Pink has a history of working with the Muslim Brotherhood to overthrow the Egyptian government of former President Hosni Mubarak as well as other terrorist groups and state sponsors of terrorism.
Medea Benjamin appeared at ease as she walked around Tahrir square and handed out roses during the anti-Mubarak protests in 2011.

Code Pink and the far left has had a long relationship with the now outlawed Muslim Brotherhood terror group.
They held a joint anti-Mubarak protest together back in 2008.

Code Pink also works with President Barack Obama and leading elected Democratic Party officials.
Benjamin said she borrowed a cellphone to send out tweets and photos from her cell. She complained about the food and water.
Code Pink national organizer Alli McCracken relayed messages between Benjamin and other Code Pink leaders. One message was from Ann Wright, who is slated to be part of the delegation to Gaza, advising to not inform the press so as to allow the other delegates to fly in to Cairo unmolested by the Egyptian government: “also Ann says we should wait to alert the press until the next wave of the delegation has gone in. is that ok?”
