I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, In the company of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the LORD.
Psalm 111
It’s a great day to be alive.
As many of you recall…
In August I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After I lost vision in my left eye I went to the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused several strokes and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee.
It’s wonderful to be alive.
This morning I started my day with three of my favorite girls at St. Louis Bread Company.
That’s Sophie (with sugar on her nose), Mia and CeCe–
Then after breakfast I stopped by my cousin Dan’s house and thanked him for saving my life.
Dr. Dan was an incredible advocate for me while I was so sick earlier this year.
