AWFUL… Akin Trails McCaskill By 10 Points Following Rape Remarks
Thank You Todd Akin.
Thank You Akin campaign media consultant, Rex Elsass.
Thank you Todd Akin for bringing down the Republican Party with you.
Akin trails Claire McCaskill by 10 points following his rape comments.
That’s a 20 point drop in one month.
What a difference one TV interview can make. Embattled Democratic incumbent Claire McCaskill has now jumped to a 10-point lead over her Republican challenger, Congressman Todd Akin, in Missouri’s U.S. Senate race. Most Missouri Republicans want Akin to quit the race while most Missouri Democrats want him to stay.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Show Me State finds McCaskill earning 48% support to Akin’s 38% . Nine percent (9% ) like some other candidate in the race, and five percent (5% ) are undecided.
Last month all three Republican challengers earned 50% or more support against Claire McCaskill. That means Todd Akin has dropped at least 12 points in one month.
Ace reported earlier – Rasmussen will be releasing a poll this morning showing Akin costing us dearly in Missouri: McCaskill 48% Akin 38% .
54% of Missourians asked say Akin should drop out of race.
Update: Cook Political Report has declared Todd Akin “unelectable” and moved the 2012 U.S. senate race in Missouri to a projected Democrat win. Before Todd Akin’s rape comment it was predicted to be a Republican victory.
Meanwhile, Todd Akin is struggling to raise $100,000. A pittance.
