Back in February Fidel Castro was awarded the Computer Youth Club Award for being the father of this movement in Cuba.
Also awarded the prize was his brother and fellow tyrant Raul Castro.
The Real Cuba reported:
Reported by The Cuban News Agency: “Fidel Castro Awarded Computer Club Prize – The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, was awarded Thursday by the Computer Youth Club in Havana, for being the father of this movement in Cuba. Fidel was also given a painting as a present. Also awarded the prize were Cuban president, Raul Castro, for his confidence in Cuban youth and to the Minister of Informatics and Communications, Ramiro Valdés, for his constant work for the development of this program…… This is the first time that the Computer Youth Club has granted this prize, which will from now on be granted annually to acknowledge personalities who have contributed to the movement, putting new technologies at the disposal of Cuban families.”
If this was not so tragic, it would be funny. The “Computer Youth Club,” in a country where less than 1% of the population has access to computers, and where people are beaten and sent to jail for trying to connect to the Internet, awarding prizes to the 3 thugs who are responsible for those policies!
