From the Video: Today, we face the most dire economic crisis since the Great Depression. A dangerous trend of over-spending, stoked by government irresponsibility, is the prime culprit for getting us in this mess. Now our country’s leaders insist more spending of taxpayers’ dollars will get us out. STOP. Americans sat back as the government committed over half of our GDP as “rescue funds” over the last year. We won’t sit back anymore. Visit StopSpendingOurFuture.org and see who’s speaking out against policies that will spend away our country’s future.
Americans For Prosperity and Heritage have teamed up to create a video contest called Stop Spending Our Future. It’s an opportunity to use humor or emotion to help frame this debate in personal terms. The top 5 submissions will each receive a prize in the amount of $500.
We’re asking people to respond to this question: What’s your biggest frustration about the government’s appetite for more spending in the midst of the tough economic climate?
