Burka-Clad Bank Robber and Cop Killer Charged

Inside the van the police found several weapons and outfits of Muslim clothing used in the robbery.

In the video the police spokesperson acknowledged that there have been several crimes in the area where the robbers were wearing Muslim garb. He said officials are looking into this.

Levon Warner (on right), 38, was charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy and related offenses. Howard Cain (on left), was shot and killed by police. A third suspect, 33-year-old Eric Floyd, is still being sought by police. Authorities recovered two vehicles one of which contained a high-powered assault rifle with 25 live rounds. From the vehicles and an alley near one of the shooting scenes, they also found two other guns, long robed clothing, and $38,000 cash- CBS3.

ABC News and the AP reported on the developments to this killing and robbery but do not mention that the robber-killers were clad in burkas.

One suspect was charged and a second was being sought Sunday in the killing of a police officer who was shot with an assault rifle while investigating a report of bank robbery, police said.

Levon Warner, 38, was charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy and related offenses, Deputy Commissioner William Blackburn said at a news conference Sunday.

A second man, Eric Floyd, 33, believed to have escaped from a halfway house in Berks County, was being sought on a homicide charge. A third man, Howard Cain, 33, was killed by police.

The dead officer, Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, a 12-year veteran who would have turned 40 on Tuesday, was responding to a report of a robbery of a bank inside a grocery store around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

One of the suspects is still on the loose.
