Just as the General David Patraeus gets ready to release his Iraq Report to Congress on 9-11, we have already heard about:
** The negative GAO Congressional report released by the media last week,
** The revised and still negative GAO Congressional report released by the media this week,
** The negative retired military officer report on Iraqi forces released by the media today
** The negative CRS, Congress’ research and analysis arm, report released by the media today
And, now there is this:
US military losses in the Iraq War today passed the HALFWAY MARK of US military losses during the Clinton years.
Via Iraq Casualty Counts and Murdoc.
** It’s been nearly four and a half years since the US “invaded” Iraq and today the US losses are half of what the US military lost during the Clinton years.
These other stats won’t make any headlines this week either:
The US and Al Qaeda monthly losses in Iraq.
Fewer soldiers are killing themselves.
Via the CRS report to Congress.
