Why Claire McCaskill Will Lose in the Show Me State

**Seven Blog Reasons Claire McCaskill will lose to Senator Jim Talent in Missouri, the “Show Me State” **

** Reason #1: You can’t win by inviting guests one weekend and dissing them the next.

McCaskill turned on her honored guest, Bill Clinton, after he stopped in St. Louis to campaign with her:
(Video 13 seconds)

Got that?… “I think he’s been a great leader but I don’t want my daughter near him.”

Ouch!

** Reason #2: You can’t be a democrat and expect to win in Missouri without the African American vote.

In early October African-American business leaders held a breakfast fundraiser for Jim Talent saying they were tired of the broken promises by democrats.

On this report card (Via democratic blogger Pubdef) McCaskill scored F’s in three categories relating to black St. Louis and an F minus in the more general “Fighting for Our Communities” category (click here to see the card).

African Americans leaders from Kansas City also came out to support Jim Talent in October.

And, on Saturday October 28 the African American firefighters endorsed Jim Talent saying:

The Firefighters League for the Advancement for Minority Equalization (F.L.A.M.E.) today said they believe Jim Talent is the best person to represent the African American community whether its fire fighters, small businesses or community-based organizations.

** Reason #3: McCaskill’s Big Blunder on “Values”!

You can’t attack your opponent on values with a lie!

Democratic Senatorial candidate Claire McCaskill attacked the values of Republican Senator Jim Talent in a press release on ethanol:

“In 1990, McCaskill voted to override Governor John Ashcroft’s veto of $125,000 to the Missouri Qualified Fuel Ethanol Producers Incentive Fund established in 1988.”

But as the Talent campaign pointed out… Claire McCaskill was not even a member of the Missouri legislature in 1990!!

** Reason #4: Curt Warner, Jeff Suppan and Jesus trump Canadian Michael J. Fox in Missouri.

Claire McCaskill made a huge blunder binding her campaign to the Embryonic Stem Cell Amendment #2 in a conservative Bible Belt state.

The Michael J. Fox ad backfired. Since the ad aired, Amendment #2 went from over 60% approval to 52% approval and is dropping.

Kurt Warner, Jeff Suppan, and “Jesus” trump Canadian Michael J. Fox in conservative Missouri.

Oh… and it helps to have St. Louis Cardinal’s World Series MVP David Eckstein join your team!

Reason #5: McCaskill’s Veteran Hoaxer

Josh Lansdale came back from Iraq and says:

“It was a pretty hot zone. We took a lot of mortar fire, IEDs, car bombs, saw a lot of helicopter crashes and worked the UN embassy bombing. I dragged a lot of people out of burning buildings, cars, motorcycle wrecks and explosions.”

Claire McCaskill continues to use Josh in her attack ads on Jim Talent.

Problem is… Josh is a hoaxer!
Claire is still airing bogus Josh VoteVets attack ads!
Michelle Malkin has the whole entire hoaxer story.
More HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

** Reason #6: McCaskill Campaign Implicated in ACORN Voter Fraud Scandal

The video does not lie.

St. Louis ACORN workers revealed that all of the people who were trained at ACORN headquarters (many at the same time) were told to go out and canvas for “(Democrat) Victory 2006” and Claire McCaskill!
The federal investigation continues on the ACORN voter fraud scandal in Missouri. Four ACORN workers were indicted last week in Kansas City on voter fraud charges.

** Reason #7: Playing Hugo Chavez in Missouri ain’t gonna work here, either.

McCaskill rips on Bush all over this state. McCaskill likes to slam Bush and mock Bush and bash Bush with the best of the liberals.

Her most famous Bush-bash was when she said that

“George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black.”

Despite the fact that it wasn’t true, it also doesn’t play well in Missouri. Missouri is not Massachusetts!

Despite what Claire’s advisor’s say, when 11,000 people come out to see George W. Bush in Joplin, a town of 49,000

St. Louis may be a democrats paradise, but rural Missouri is still Bush country!

So to sum it all up…
All of Claire’s negative campaigning may have the Missouri dog’s howling, but won’t get them to the polls in the Show Me State!
Rasmussen has a one point race, I say Talent by 3.

Update: Talent is back up by 1 at Rasmussen!
