Toronto Imam Claims Evidence Was Planted, Blames Bush

Of course, this imam who heads the mosque attended by the arrested Canadian terror suspects has a long history of associating with accused Al Qaeda members…

The Pakistani Daily Times says that the police planted the evidence on the Toronto terrorists. How do they know that? Because the terror linked Imam at the mosque they attend says so:

Aly Hindy, a Toronto imam, said he knew several of the accused because they prayed at his mosque but said they were not terrorists. “The charges are to keep George Bush happy, that’s all,” he added sardonically. The Globe and Mail did not mention that all incriminating evidence had been planted on the suspects.

Toronto Imam Ali Hindy says the evidence was planted on the 17 arrested Islamists over the weekend.

But, blogger Arabian Dissent pointed this out last year about Imam Ali Lindy:

Aly Hindy is the head of Scarborough’s Salaheddin Islamic Centre. What it did’nt point out is that the founding director of the mosque was none other than Hassan Farhat.

As the Red Star explains to us, CSIS believes Mr. Farahat is directly linked to Al-Qaida.

Ali Hindy is also a close friend of the “Khadr’s”, a Canadian family connected to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda.

Also from Arabian Dissident… Mr. Hindy is a very good friend of suspected terrorist, Amer el-Maati.

The Daily Times published one of those stories where it’s best to check out the source before drawing a conclusion.

Other leaders at the al-Rahman Islamic Center say they are shocked by this news from the weekend:

The al-Rahman Islamic Center for Islamic Education was closed and silent on Monday. “We feel betrayed by the suspects,” said Tariq Shah, the lawyer for the mosque management. “In hindsight management should have caught it. We had no prior knowledge of it.”
