Democrats Call for a Phased Out Retreat?

This is supposed to be news?

Democrats called for a phased out retreat today, similar to the last call to retreat from John Kerry last week, like the full blown retreat from last year, not quite like the John Kerry “let’s stick it out” and not retreat from 2004, but awfully close to John Murtha’s criticism of the war on September 16, 2003, September 27, 2003, and definitely May 11, 2004.

(Oh, and by the way, did you know that it was Murtha who spread the rumor about a Bush Draft on September 17, 2004?)

What would be news is if the Democratic Party, just one member, would stand up in front of Congress and say, “Let’s win this thing! We can do it!”… That would be news.

David Horowitz and Peter Collier have more on the Democrats natural tendency to want to pull out.

As Betsy says, “Trying to be both the antiwar party without seeming like the antiwar party.”
