Bay of Pigs – 45 Years Later

April 17, 1961

Those brave men who died at Giròn Beach 45 years ago, yesterday, were fighting to return Cuba to democracy. If Kennedy had kept his promise, today Cuba would be a free and prosperous country. Val Prieto at Babalu, who’s father-in-law fought at the Bay of Pigs, has some great essays remembering the Bay of Pigs.
