Bush Up – Congress Down

Scared Monkeys have a post up today on Bush’s latest approval ratings:

Gallup’s new poll shows a bounce for President Bush’s approval rating. Bush’s approval rating is up two points to 50 percent, while his disapproval rating has dropped four points from 49 to 45 percent.

Congressional disapproval continues to slip, with only 35 percent approving and 57 percent disapproving, a deterioration of three points in each category.

More at Free Republic:

The public’s low esteem of congressional members holds about equally for both Republicans and Democrats.

The latest survey on Congress’ approval rating was conducted May 2-5, 2005 showing that 35% of Americans approve and 57% disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job. That is the lowest approval rating and highest disapproval rating for Congress since July 1997.
