Promoting Women’s Rights in Afghanistan
Laura Bush visited Afghanistan today for the first time to promote education for women. Under the Taliban women had no rights and had no education. In a country rebuilding from a long violent history of war and oppression, Laura Bush promoted her own rebuilding project today… that of women.
