It’s been an up and down period for St. Louis sports. The Cardinals make it all the way to the World Series to not show up. The Rams have steadily lost their crown as the “Greatest Show on Turf”. And last night, I witnessed from a pricey seat at the Savvis Center the St. Louis World Champion, Cory Spinks, in his home town, in front of a record setting indoor crowd of +22K fans, at the first championship fight in St. Louis in 40 years, in his first fight at home since being belted champion, get TKO’d in the 9th round. Ughhh. At least he had a memorable intro with Nelly… Oh, and I happened to be seated by the gang fight in the stands after the bout… but that wasn’t me in the photos throwing the chair.
Ouch!!!
