The BBC has a whole section titled “Struggle for Iraq” in typical western reporting fashion as if there is a civil war going on in the violent country between two equally backed sides. However, if you ask the people who are living through this period of unrest 80 to 90 % want the coalition and security forces to continue to eliminate the terrorists. This is just another subtle way that western journalists can slant things toward their wants of Coalition and American failure. Also, Kofi Annan today, as brilliant as ever urged Iraq’s interim government to reach out to the Sunni Muslim minority ahead of elections. Sheesh, Kofi, that’s so profound! Why didn’t anyone think of that??? It appears that Allawi is a few steps ahead of you. He has been meeting with the Sunni’s for months to encourage participation in the elections.
