We Humbly Beseech Thee

If you have a couple of minutes it is worth the time to read W. Thomas Smith’s article on National Review Online describing the horrendous conditions and the clear courage of the 101st Airborne Unit at the Battle of the Bulge. I heard a young woman this week who was leaving her basic training to go serve her country. She was asked why she decided to get into the military. Her response was that she always liked hearing the stories when she was growing up and that it was what she always wanted to do. It is those brave men and women that went before us who have created that legacy. It is those brave men and women who went before who make the stories, who create the heroes, who build the legends. God bless them today. God bless them this Christmas Season. God bless them always.
