‘Posed a Reasonable Threat to the Safety of Civilian Flight’ – Canadian Defense Minister Holds Press Briefing on ‘Unidentified Object’ Shot Down Over Yukon (VIDEO)

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand on Saturday evening held a briefing after Justin Trudeau ordered a shootdown of an object flying over the Yukon.

The Defense Minister said, “This was the first time that a NORAD operation has down an aerial object.”

“The object was flying at 40,000 feet and had unlawfully entered Canadian airspace and posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight,” she said.

“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.” Trudeau said earlier Saturday.

Trudeau said he spoke with Joe Biden on Saturday.

This comes just one day after the US shot down a ‘high-altitude object’ over Alaska.

Last Saturday the Pentagon shot down a China spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean after Joe Biden allowed it to traverse over nuclear silos and military installations.
