This Tells You Everything: Dirty Mitch McConnell is Pulling for Kevin McCarthy to Be Next Speaker

The US Senate on Tuesday evening voted 70-25 to advance the $1.7 trillion Omnibus spending bill and open debate.

The latest spending bill is full of special interest earmarks and pork.

The bill includes $45 billion to Ukraine, $7.5 million in LGBTQ programs, Jan 6 prosecution funding, billions for the IRS to go after working Americans, and more.

There is no money for border security. The US border is wide open. Republican Senators gladly signed on to this monstrosity. They eagerly took the power away from House Republicans and the American people.

Senate Republicans are giving away the incoming GOP Majority House’s power of the purse until September 2023.

Here again, are the 21 Republicans who voted for this monstrosity.

On Tuesday after leading Senate Republicans in passing the Democrat bill, Mitch McConnell endorsed Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House.

McConnell is the most unpopular senator in Washington DC. He’s worked hard for that honor.

The New York Post reported:

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told the media on Tuesday that he is “pulling” for Rep. Kevin McCarthy to be elected speaker of the House in the next Congress, despite disagreeing on whether to pass the omnibus spending bill before the end of the year.

“Absolutely, I’m pulling for Kevin. I hope he makes it,” McConnell told reporters when asked if he supported the House minority leader’s speakership bid.

McCarthy on Tuesday harshly criticized Senate Republicans, including McConnell, who support passing the $1.7 trillion spending package.

“When I’m Speaker, their bills will be dead on arrival in the House if this nearly $2T monstrosity is allowed to move forward over our objections and the will of the American people,” McCarthy wrote in a Twitter post, referencing Senate Republicans who pushed for passage of the spending legislation.
