Ali Alexander Releases Statement After January 6 Committee Drops Subpoena for His Phone Records

Nancy Pelosi’s unconstitutional January 6th Committee dropped its subpoena for Ali Alexander’s phone records after a year-long battle.

Alexander organized the Stop the Steal rally at the Ellipse on January 6, 2021, where President Donald Trump addressed a crowd of over one million supporters who traveled to Washington DC to offer their support to the 45th President.

Ali Alexander released this statement following the news on Monday.

STATEMENT OF ALI ALEXANDER REGARDING JANUARY 6TH COMMITTEE DROPPING ITS SUBPOENA FOR HIS PHONE RECORDS

I have been informed by my Washington, D.C. attorney Paul Kamenar that Pelosi’s January 6th Committee has informed him this evening that they are withdrawing their subpoena for my phone records which they issued over a year ago.

Clearly, they found no wrongdoing on my part of peaceful organizing.

Earlier this year, they dropped the subpoena issued to one my supporters whose only crime was to participate in the January 6 rally on the Ellipse and helped pass out “Stop the Steal” signs after we challenged the investigatory purpose of the subpoena and the apparent goal of chilling the exercise of my and my supporters First Amendment rights.

I was subpoenaed to testify before the January 6 committee last December for eight hours (one of the longest testifying witnesses) and later before the Grand Jury this summer for three more hours. I did nothing wrong except to exercise my First Amendment rights to protest the fraud that occurred in the 2020 election. This witch hunt has cost me much time and my life savings to fight these cases, including a pending one where I am being sued by DC Police Officers, coaxed by a progressive non-profit lawfare firm, for their injuries they suffered during the breach of the Capitol even though I never went inside, and indeed, encouraged others not to.

When the Republicans take control of the House next month, this witch hunt deserves an investigation of itself. Republicans must preserve evidence and investigate the investigators!

I’m thrilled to have beaten Nancy Pelosi in court with ALEXANDER V. PELOSi for which I credit Jesus Christ.
