LIVE-STREAM VIDEO: San Francisco Police Press Conference on Violent Assault on Paul Pelosi – Moved to 10:00 AM PT

Early Friday morning Nancy Pelosi’s home in San Francisco was broken into. The man entered through the sliding door. Her husband Paul Pelosi was violently assaulted.

Paul Pelosi was taken to the hospital. The assailant was arrested. He was allegedly was shouting, “Where’s Nancy? Where’s Nancy?”

The attack is under investigation.

Police say it was a targeted attack.

Earlier this year Paul Pelosi was arrested for driving drunk in California.

“Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi. The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation. Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery. The Speaker was not in San Francisco at the time,” Drew Hammill, spokesman for Nancy Pelosi said.

“The Speaker and her family are grateful to the first responders and medical professionals involved, and request privacy at this time.”

UPDATE: According to a FOX 59 reporter in Indianapolis: The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation.

According to reports, the assailant beat Paul Pelosi with a hammer.
