Trump Posts Scorching Reply to Lawsuit Filed By ‘Failed’ New York Attorney General Letitia James

Former President Donald Trump posted a scorching reply to the fraud lawsuit filed against him and his children by “failed” New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The blistering response pointed out that James is busy fighting on behalf of massive banks instead of taking care of the violent crime plaguing New York City.

“Another Witch Hunt by a racist Attorney General, Letitia James, who failed in her run for Governor, getting almost zero support from the public, and now is doing poorly against Law & Order A.G. candidate, highly respected Michael Henry,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump continued, “I never thought this case would be brought – until I saw her really bad poll numbers. She is a fraud who campaigned on a ‘get Trump’ platform, despite the fact that the city is one of the crime and murder disasters of the world under her watch!”

In a follow-up post, Trump used the nickname “Peekaboo” to mock James.

“Attorney General Letitia ‘Peekaboo’ James, a total crime fighting disaster in New York, is spending all of her time fighting for very powerful and well represented banks and insurance companies, who were fully paid, made a lot of money, and never had a complaint about me, instead of fighting murder and violent crime, which is killing New York State,” Trump wrote. “She is a failed A.G. whose lack of talent in the fight against crime is causing record numbers of people and companies to flee New York. Bye, bye!”

In another follow-up, Trump thanked the New York Times for pointing out that the lawsuit is likely to fail.

The 300 page lawsuit claims that Trump padded the values of his properties. It claims that Trump and his daughter Ivanka doctored financial statements when purchasing Trump Hotel in DC and that the Trump Organization obtained a $170 million loan from Deutsche Bank under “partially” false pretenses.

“These acts of fraud and misrepresentation grossly inflated Mr. Trump’s personal net worth as reported in the Statements by billions of dollars and conveyed false and misleading impressions to financial counterparties about how the Statements were prepared,” the lawsuit says. “Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization used these false and misleading Statements repeatedly and persistently to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company, to satisfy continuing loan covenants, and to induce insurers to provide insurance coverage for higher limits and at lower premiums.”
