DeSantis Unloads On the Hypocrisy of the Left’s Reaction to Having to Deal With Biden’s Border Crisis In Their Own Front Yards

At an event in Florida Friday,  Governor Ron DeSantis  highlighted the hypocrisy of the left’s panic at having to deal with Biden’s border crisis in their own front yards.

Border towns have been dealing with the catastrophic results of Biden’s failed border policy since he took office.  Local families face hundreds, sometimes thousands, of illegals invading their property and overwhelming local resources.

While liberals remain silent about the catastrophic impact to folks in “flyover country,” they didn’t waste any time calling 125 members of the National Guard to remove the illegals to Joint Base Cape Cod.

Over 4.9 million illegals entered the United States during Joe Biden’s first 18 months in office via the open southern US border. But send 50 illegal immigrants to an exclusive liberal enclave?  That is a humanitarian crisis!

“I also was a little bit perplexed when I heard that the president is scrambling to get his cabinet together to try to address the fact that we have governors who are helping to relocate illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.

He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when we had millions of people illegally poouring across the southern border. He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when you had 53 migrants die in some trailer in Texas because they were neglected by the federal government. He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when we had Americans that were victimixed by cirminal aliens that he let across the border He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when we hit record fentanyl deaths, when that fentanyl is coming across his open border.

It is only when we had 50 illegal aliens end up in a very wealthy, rich sanctuary enclave that he decides to scramble on this. I think what we are doing is using every tool at our disposal to insulate the state of Florida from the negative ramifications of his reckless border policies.

And yes, that involves helping with transport. It involves suing on catch-and-release, which we have done. It involves making sure that contractors are held accountable if they’re involved facilitating this into our state. We have a state-wide grand jury looking into different types of practices that may be going on in the state and exacerbating the problem.

At the end of the day, this is a massive policy failure by the president. A massive and intentional policy that is causing a huge amount of damage all across the country, and it is all rooted in a failure to take care that the laws are faithfully executed and to fulfill his oath of office.

Instead of scrambling and worrying about a bunch of rich people and having 50, and by the way, they already bussed them out, they’re gone. They said they want everyone and nobody is illegal – and they’re gone within 48 hours. Why not actually look at what’s going on? There were more Acela corporate journalists in Martha’s Vineyard today than have ever gone down to the Southern border to look at what’s going on. Why don’t you go down there and look at what those communities have to deal with every day.”
