After his passing, people have offered their respects.

“Love, peace and prayers to Riddick Parker’s family. He was one of the guys I always looked up to. He did such great things in football and in life. But, time is filled with swift transition. We just never know. RIP,” Brandon Allen wrote.

Another friend wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of George Wythe High School Principal Riddick Parker. He was a beautiful person in every way. From the moment I met him, he assured me that George Wythe was my home, and he meant that. He made it clear that I never had to announce my visits and that it was my school too. He worked tirelessly and was always busy, but he made time to interact with his faculty, staff, and students. He tried to take care of us all.”
