Orlando Police Searching for Armed Robber Who Climbed Through Wendy’s Drive-Thru Window to Steal Cash Drawer (VIDEO)

Orlando police are searching for an armed robber who climbed through a Wendy’s drive-thru window to steal the cash drawer from the register.

A $1,000 reward has been offered for information that can help identify him.

The incident took place just before 8 a.m. on June 18, at the Wendy’s on 5503 Major Boulevard — while the fast food restaurant was still serving breakfast.

“CAN YOU ID? On 6/18 at approx. 7:50am on Major Blvd, a man in a black Nissan Altima, wearing a mask covering his face & a straw hat, threatened a Wendy’s employee w/ a gun, climbed into the drive-thru window & stole the entire cash drawer,” the Orlando Police Department tweeted on July 7.

According to the police, the robber was a light-skinned black male. He was driving a black Nissan Altima and wearing a straw hat, mask and hooded shirt that covered his face, and water shoes.

The robber had ordered food through the drive-thru line, but when he got to the window to pay he brandished a gun and told the cashier to give him the money.

The frightened employee ran inside the restaurant and the man climbed through the window to complete the theft.

The department is asking anyone who may have information about the robbery to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
