Liberals Gloat, Attack Republicans After 10-Year-Old Girl Rape Story Confirmed by Ohio Prosecutors

Liberals have been gloating and attacking Republicans after the story of a 10-year-old girl in Ohio being raped was confirmed to be true by prosecutors who charged an illegal alien with rape in the case that drew national attention after an Indiana abortion activist claimed without evidence the girl had to leave Ohio for Indiana to get an abortion. The claim was made two weeks ago after the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe and Casey that returned abortion matters to the states and triggered Ohio’s already in place ‘heartbeat’ law banning abortions after six weeks except in the case of risk of serious danger to the physical health and life of the mother.

The Indiana abortion activist, Dr. Caitlin Bernard, did not provide any evidence to support her claim of the 10-year-old girl being raped when asked by the Daily Caller last week, “I’m sorry, but I don’t have any information to share.”

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) was unable to confirm the story as of Monday:

Liberal outlets, including Snopes and the Washington Post were unable to confirm the report.

Yet when the child rape story was presented as true in court Wednesday, liberals celebrated by attacking skeptical conservatives.

Meidas Touch, “Now that the 10-year-old abortion story has turned out to be true, will there be any introspection among the right wing media? And will the press demand accountability of the Republican politicians who lied and said it was a hoax?”

Democrat activist Adam Parkomenko, “A 10 year old was raped and impregnated and instead of helping her, republicans called her a liar.” And “Congratulations to every Republican and pundit who called a 10 year old rape victim a liar.”

The Daily Beast’s Justin Baragona, “Fox News host Emily Compagno, yesterday, on the story of a 10-year-old rape victim who had to go to Indiana for an abortion: “What I find so deeply offensive, they had to make up a fake one!” Meanwhile, the alleged rapist was just arrested and charged.”

Lefty journo Judd Legum attacked law professor Jonathan Turley, “Law prof @JonathanTurley wrote an op-ed in the @nypost questioning a report about a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio who was forced to travel to Indiana for an abortion The column was printed with the URL “activist-tale-of-a-10-year-old-rape-victims-abortion-looks-like-a-lie”…The story, however, has been confirmed and a suspect was arrested today…During the hearing today, the suspect who was arrested, per an interpreter, CONFESSED to raping the 10-year-old girl”

The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, “why did Jim Jordan and Dave Yost attack a rape victim, effectively calling her a liar? Because they distrust women. (Does Jordan specialize in hear no evil, see no evil?) Unfit to govern.”

Ohio Capital Journal, “Ohio Republican politicians have completely shed themselves of any shame or conscience. If they are willing to try to erase the trauma of a 10-year-old rape victim, whose pain and suffering will they not try to ignore and erase?”

The Daily Caller’s Geoffrey Ingersoll summed it up, “Conservatives demand evidence that such a crime occurred. Man gets arrested for grisly crime. Liberals take victory lap that grisly crime actually happened.”

And Greg Price, “So a 10-year-old girl was raped in Ohio by an illegal alien and could’ve gotten a legal abortion in the state bc it threatened her life but the doctors didn’t report it to the police, shipped her over to Indiana, and turned it into a media story to sell abortion to the public…And meanwhile, a bunch of libs are taking a victory lap in my mentions over a young girl being raped because I had to gall to be skeptical of a story with a single source from an abortion activist who refused to respond to any request for comment.”
