Fully Vaxxed and *Boosted* Sec. of State Antony Blinken Tests Positive for Covid-19 After Attending White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Fully vaxxed *and boosted* Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night.

“Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon via a PCR test.’ the State Department said.

“The Secretary is fully vaccinated and boosted against the virus and is experiencing only mild symptoms. He tested negative on Tuesday and again as recently as this morning.”

The State Department said Blinken has not had any close contact with Joe Biden in several days.

“The Secretary has not seen President Biden in person for several days, and the President is not considered a close contact according to guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”

Blinken has gone into isolation and will work virtually.

“Blinken and his wife Evan Ryan, along with Biden, attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington on Saturday night with 2,600 people, among them high-profile journalists, and government officials. Attendees at that dinner were required to be vaccinated or have a negative Covid test.” CNBC reported.

Blinken isn’t the only person to have tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night.

ABC’s Jon Karl and other journalists have tested positive for the China virus this week after attending the super spreader event.

Via CNN: “In the days since WHCD weekend, reporters and staffers from CNN, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, Politico, and other participating news organizations have tested positive for the virus. Most notably, ABC’s Jon Karl, who shook hands with President Biden and who sat next to Kim Kardashian, has fallen ill, as Politico’s Maxwell Tani first reported.”
