Secret Service Officers Fatally Shoot Intruder at Home of Peruvian Ambassador in DC

Secret Service officers on Wednesday morning fatally shot an intruder at the Peruvian Embassy in Washington, DC.

According to police, the residents called law enforcement after an intruder broke several windows in the back of the residence at around 8 am.

Police shot the man after using tasers to try to subdue the intruder, who was armed with a metal stake, Fox 5 DC reported.

“We don’t know who this individual is,” DC Police Chief Robert Contee said. “We don’t know why this person was on the ambassador’s residential property, we don’t know why this person smashed out several windows, we don’t know why this person had a double stake, we don’t know why this person approached the officers with that double stake, but we’re investigating that now.”
