We have without a doubt a dysfunctional and unconstitutional two-tiered system of justice.
The Week reported on the DC court’s decision to drop charges against a Florida man who punched a DC cop in the face.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) expressed his frustration on Wednesday after the Washington, D.C., government dropped charges against a Florida man accused of punching a police officer who was protecting Paul in 2020.
“Surprise, surprise. DC government drops charges against the thug who attacked and injured a DC policeman (a policeman who protected Kelley and I from an angry mob),” Paul wrote on Twitter. “And people wonder why violence is consuming our cities.”
According to D.C. court records, the government gave notice of nolle prosequi on Jan. 27, effectively dropping the charges. Nolle prosequi is a Latin legal term that refers to “a legal notice or entry of record that the prosecutor or plaintiff has decided to abandon the prosecution or lawsuit.”
Here is the Senator’s tweet:

The below tweet shows Senator Paul and his wife walking from the White House to their hotel room after President Trump’s speech at the White House on the final night of the RNC. Senator Paul and others were assaulted by criminals outside the White House related to Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

This type of violence which was backed by Democrats was commonplace in the summer of 2020. Up to $2 billion in damages and 25 people died in these types of riots around the country. The Democrats appeared happy to see individuals from the Republican Party who supported the President of the United States assaulted by BLM goons. Senator Paul and his wife weren’t the only ones who were attacked that night alone.
Despite clear evidence of assault, this criminal walks free in DC and yet others who did nothing violent or wrong are in DC jails, some for over a year.
The people running America do not love America and do not respect our laws. This is just another example.
