NEW: Albany County District Attorney Says Gov. Cuomo Part of “Criminal Investigation,” Requests Materials From NY AG’s Office

Albany County District Attorney David Soares on Tuesday afternoon requested materials AG Letitia James obtained from her office’s investigation into Governor Cuomo.

The Albany County DA said Governor Cuomo is part of an “ongoing criminal investigation.”

“We will be formally requesting investigative materials obtained by the AG’s Office, and we welcome any victim to contact our office with additional information,” the Albany DA’s office said.

The DA’s office said they will be “refraining from any additional public comment regarding the status of the ongoing criminal investigation” by their office.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was found to have sexually harassed multiple women, AG Letitia James announced Tuesday morning after a 4-month investigation into the accusations.

According to NY AG Letitia James, Cuomo violated state and federal law.

James said Cuomo harassed current and former state employees and created a hostile work environment.

Cuomo remained defiant on Tuesday amid calls to resign.
