At a time when US forces scramble to wind down evacuation efforts in Afghanistan, one of the most crucial resources that stranded American citizens have relied on to guide them safely to their evacuation flights was unavailable for several hours.
The US Embassy in Kabul operates an ‘alert page‘ that provides status updates about the evacuation efforts and also details ways for those who are trapped behind enemy lines to reach the airport. On Saturday morning, visitors to the page were met by a “404 Error – Page Not Found.”

Thankfully for those that are still stranded, the alert page was eventually restored, and is now active.
According to Breitbart:

Previously, the website page would give alerts to stranded Americans of whether they should or should not to travel to the airport due to security threats the Taliban were charged with mitigating.
For instance, the page read August 25, “Because of security threats outside the gates of Kabul airport, we are advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates at this time unless you receive individual instructions from a U.S. government representative to do so.”
Just a few days earlier on August 21, it warned trapped American citizens to “avoid” the Kabul airport because of “security threats outside the gates.”
Biden once again bowed down to the Taliban and said he will adhere to their August 31st deadline to stop evacuation efforts and leave the country. He is also relying on the cooperation of the Taliban to let people freely pass to get to the evacuation site despite reports and video that show they are not allowing people through.
In other words, Americans who are still trapped better hurry and find a way through the terrorist checkpoints so they can get to the airport – Just don’t expect Biden or his weak State Department to help them get there.

There have been conflicting reports about the exact number of US citizens that are still stranded in Afghanistan, but one thing’s for sure – Biden will end up leaving hundreds, if not thousands behind if he follows the Taliban’s orders.
It’s not looking good. Right now the Taliban are calling the shots and Joe Biden is just doing what he is told.
What a disgrace.
