Gen Edwin “Ted” Walker was fired in 1961 for handing out John Birch Society material to his troops in Germany. Today’s wholesale across-the-board woke indoctrination of the military is 100,000 times worse than what Walker did and he got canned.
According to the FDA, the Hatch Act relates to the following:
The Hatch Act restricts federal employee participation in certain partisan political activities. The political activity restrictions apply during the entire time of an employee’s federal service. Certain rules prohibit both on-duty and off-duty conduct.
Partisan political activities are those activities directed at the success or failure of a political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group. While most Federal employees are permitted to take an active part in partisan political management and partisan political campaigns, the Hatch Act does prohibit certain participation by all Federal employees. Federal employees may not seek public office in partisan elections, use their official title or authority when engaging in political activity, solicit or receive contributions for partisan political candidates or groups, and engage in political activity while on duty.
One famous General resigned after being accused of breaking the Hatch Act. He was the only US General to resign in the 2oth century:
[General Ted] Walker was relieved of command of the 24th Infantry Division due to his political activities. He then resigned from the service and became a political activist throughout the remainder of his life, although he became less effective in this regard as he got older.
Wikipedia refers to General Walker like this:
He became known for his staunch conservative political opinions and was criticized by U.S President Dwight D. Eisenhower for promoting a personal political opinion while in uniform. Walker resigned his commission in 1959, but Eisenhower refused to accept his resignation and gave Walker a new command of the 24th Infantry Division in Augsburg, Germany. Walker again resigned his commission in 1961 after being publicly and formally admonished by the Joint Chiefs of Staff for allegedly referring to Eleanor Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman as “pink” in print and for violating the Hatch Act of 1939 by attempting to influence the votes of his troops. President John F. Kennedy accepted his resignation, making Walker the only US general to resign in the 20th century.
President Trump called for Milley to resign. He should.
Every person who is involved in the teaching and indoctrination of the Critical Race Theory should be removed from the Military for crimes against the US per the Hatch Act. This should and could be thousands of individuals.
