University Of Washington Mandates Vaccines For Faculty, Staff and Students – Why Ignore Science?

The University of Washington (UW) will require COVID-19 vaccinations for staff, faculty, and students, for in-person learning, for the school year starting in the fall of 2021.

The UW will require staff and faculty to be vaccinated against COVID-19 if they will work on campus in fall quarter, the university announced Thursday.

This decision falls in line with a mandate announced last month that students would have to be vaccinated for in-person learning come fall quarter, which starts Sept. 29.

Local News, KOMO reported:

The University of Washington is now requiring all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of the fall quarter, the university announced Thursday.Faculty and staff will have to confirm that they have been vaccinated by fall quarter in order to work on the campus or at any of the university’s facilities.

Employees will be allowed to seek medical, religious, or philosophical exemptions.

The requirement comes two weeks after the Washington Department of Labor & Industries release new requirements on masking and social distancing in the workplace.”

The UW official site reported:

The University of Washington on Monday announced it will require all students on all three of its campuses to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before the start of the autumn quarter. The announcement comes with six weeks remaining in the spring quarter to provide time for students who are in the area to get vaccinated before summer.

Vaccinations are provided free of charge to individuals at UW Medicine hospitals — including at the UW Medical Center – Montlake on the Seattle campus — as well as at mass vaccination sites in Seattle and in Pierce and Snohomish counties.

Widespread vaccination is the only real way we can put the COVID-19 pandemic behind us and return to a more normal way of living, learning and working,” UW President Ana Mari Cauce wrote in a message to the University community. “Our community is one that cares — about each other and about the state and society we serve. For your health, and for the health of us all, please get vaccinated as soon as you can.

The UW is encouraging students to get vaccinated as soon as possible, wherever they are living. COVID-19 vaccines authorized by the United States, by the World Health Organization or by other nations will meet this requirement.

The University must not have a medical school that relies on science because studies show that anyone who has had COVID-19 and has antibodies, as a result, should no longer be susceptible to contracting the virus.  Even those with mild cases of COVID obtain immunity to COVID-19.

Also, the average age of students in American universities is 19 to 22.  Based on these parameters alone, students at the University are almost immune from dying of COVID, especially if they don’t have any comorbidities.

Who is making the decisions at these universities?  Why are they teaching students not to use science in their decision-making?
