In December 2020 Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr stepped down as chairman of a national group that advocates for Republican attorneys general. Carr cited a “significant difference of opinion” in the organization’s direction following a robocall that urged people to march to the U.S. Capitol and “stop the steal” protests.
At the same time Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was contesting the election contests in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania to block the battleground states from casting “unlawful and constitutionally tainted votes” in the Electoral College.
Chris Carr was another lost Georgia Republican who allowed his conservative state to be stolen from their voters by the political left.
