Joe Biden delivered remarks from the site of the G7 summit at Tregenna Castle in England Thursday evening.
Biden announced the US would donate 500 million Pfizer vaccines to over 92 low to middle income countries.
Joe Biden compared his plan to distribute vaccines worldwide to America’s role in World War 2.
“It’s in all of our interests to have the global economy begin to recover as well, and that won’t happen unless we can get this pandemic under control worldwide,” Biden said. “America will be the arsenal of vaccines in our fight against COVID-19— just as America was the arsenal of Democracy during World War II.”
