Newt Gingrich on Liz Cheney: “Morally” She Ought to Resign – She is “Using the Power” that the Conference Loaned her to Undermine House Republicans (VIDEO)

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures this morning.

During their conversation newt weighed in on Liz Cheney’s war against House Republicans and Trump supporters.

Newt Gingrich: She has every right as an individual member to say and do anything she wants to, but she has no right as the chair of the conference to take the power and the prestige that the conference has given her and use it to undermine the conference. The conference was 200 to 10 opposite her, she was one of ten in 210 votes. At that point you either have to check your sails and say, “OK, I’ll represent the conference.” Or, morally you ought to resign because you’re using the power that they loaned you… I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see her show up as an independent candidate for president if Trump is nominated… She’d almost by morally obligated to support the Democrat.
