DA Says Deadly Shooting of Andrew Brown “Justified” – Bodycam Footage Released Shows Brown Trying to Hit Deputies with His Car (VIDEO)

Last month a 40-year-old black man was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

According to reports, deputies were serving a search warrant in the 400 block of Perry Street, off Roanoke Avenue.

The man, 40-year-old Andrew Brown, got into his car and began to drive away when deputies opened fire.

The family and the family’s lawyer insisted Brown, who was a father to 10 children, was unarmed and was executed by deputies.

However, the bodycam footage released on Tuesday shows Brown trying to run over deputies with his car before law enforcement opened fire.

Pasquotank County DA Andrew Womble said the fatal shooting of Andrew Brown was justified.

Womble said the three deputies who shot and killed Brown were justified because they felt their lives were threatened by Brown’s actions.
