Heroic Columbus Police Officer Who Fatally Shot Knife-Wielding Teen is Military-Trained Expert Marksman

Nicholas Reardon

The Columbus, Ohio police officer who fatally shot a knife-wielding teen as she lunged at another female is a military-trained expert marksman.

Columbus Police Officer Nicholas Reardon fatally shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant earlier this week with marksman accuracy.

The Daily Beast reported that Reardon is a US Air National Guardsman who received an expert marksman badge with an M-4 Carbine.

Reardon was also a member of the wrestling team at Bishop Watterson Catholic School in Columbus.

Reardon rolled up to a chaotic scene unfolding in the front yard of the home after two frantic 911 calls made to authorities warned of an attempted stabbing.

Screaming could be heard in the background as the 911 caller told the dispatcher that people were “over here trying to fight us, trying to stab us, trying to put their hands on our grandma.”

Reardon quickly assessed the situation and realized he had no choice but to discharge to his weapon in order to save lives.

Security footage taken from a neighbor across the street shows a new angle of the officer-involved shooting death of 16-year-old Ma’Kiah Bryant.

The new angle shows police officer Reardon immediately trying to deescalate the situation before firing his weapon.

Ma’Kiah Bryant could be heard screaming, “I’m gonna stab the f*ck out of you, bitch!” while attempting to stab two unarmed people.

If it wasn’t for Reardon’s military training, swift action and marksman accuracy, the young female in the pink jogging suit would be gravely injured or dead.
