The body count of black Americans continues to climb and it is not at the hands of the police. Wrap you mind around this fact–we are getting more casualties in black communities in major American cities in one week than our soldiers in Iraq incurred in a month during the height of the war in Iraq (I’m referring to the 2003 fiasco).
NYC sees bloodiest week this year with 46 separate shooting incidents
New York City endured its bloodiest week so far this year, as gun violence continues to soar ahead of what could be another violent summer.
NYPD data shows 50 people were shot in 46 separate incidents over a seven-day period ending Sunday evening — a more than 250 percent surge from the same week in 2020.

ABC 7 / Chicago Sun Times reported that the first fatality occurred Friday night around 10:30 p.m., at which time police found a 27-year-old lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. . . .
The second fatality took place just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday, as a 30-year-old woman sat in her vehicle “in Roseland on the Far South Side.” Someone fired shots, striking her multiple times. . . .
The third fatality occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in Humboldt Park. Thirty-six-year-old Duntae Manuel was sitting in a vehicle when someone walked up and opened fire, fatally wounding him.
On April 23, 2021, Breitbart News noted that over 900 people had already been shot in Chicago by that point in the year.

3 killed in weekend shootings in Philadelphia
About 11 people were shot, three of them fatally, in a violent weekend in Philadelphia. . . .
Among the weekend’s fatal shootings, a 34-year-old man was shot three times in the back of the head and once in the chest around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the West Oak Lane section, reports indicate.
A 20-year-old man was killed, and a 22-year-old man was injured and remains in critical condition after a double shooting that occurred around 10 p.m. Friday near Front and Champlost streets, according to reports.
And a 24-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times in the head and upper torso around midnight Saturday on the 2000 block of North Dauphin Street, reports indicate.

The worst of the tragic weekend came when two teenagers were killed in a triple shooting in the Brightwood neighborhood of Northwest around 5:02 p.m., Saturday, according to D.C. Police — who as of Sunday evening said an additional triple shooting left one man dead.
There’s been another murder in the area. A man was shot several times in downtown St. Louis Tuesday morning after leaving court.
There was more violence in north St. Louis Monday night where a 30-year-old man was shot and killed, and a 13-year-old wounded in an alley near Dr. Martin Luther King. After they were shot, they ran into Martin’s Market for help.
This is black on black violence and Black Lives Matters says nothing. Much of the violence is rooted in drug gangs battling for control of territory. I am going to keep hammering on this point. We must confront and defeat the lie of systemic racism. What we have is black racism backed by apathy. Unless you are killed while resisting arrest, no one outside your circle of family and friends will give a damn if you are black and shot dead by another black man or woman. That is injustice in my book.
