“Beat The Democrats At Their Own Game”- Trump Backs New Donor Group To Take On The Democrats

President Trump is backing a new Republican donor group.

According to Trump, this group will help “beat the Democrats at their own game”.

The group is called “America Alliance.”

America Alliance plans on giving $100,000 to any candidate that gets the approval of the organization.

The COO of Trump’s 2020 election campaign, Michael Glassner, will be in charge.

Newsweek reported:

Donald Trump is supporting a new Republican group aiming to combat Democratic fundraising network Democracy Alliance in a move that could further cement the former president’s influence over his party.

America Alliance will seek annual dues from its donors, according to The New York Times. The group intends to give $100,000 to candidates who win the approval of the organization.

Michael Glassner, who served as chief operating officer of former President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, has been asked to become CEO of America Alliance.

“For years Republicans have been at a fundraising disadvantage, but now thanks to Save America, Make America Great Again PAC, America Alliance, our fine party committees and all of our other supporting groups we’re going to beat the Democrats at their own game,” Trump said in a statement on Friday.

Trump adviser Jason Miller touted the report:

Trump is shoring up a power base outside the GOP establishment.

He has warned the GOP establishment not to use his name to fundraise for RINOs.

He has created his own fundraising operation.

As of early April, Trump has $85 million in a fundraising war chest.

CNBC reported:

Former President Donald Trump‘s political action committee has amassed a war chest of more than $85 million as he builds an operation meant to take on his enemies and possibly fuel another run for president in 2024.

Save America, Trump’s leadership PAC, heads into the second quarter with that gargantuan sum of cash on hand, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter who declined to be named as the fundraising data has not been made public.

The PAC raised more than $30 million from late November through December, and finished last year with $31 million on hand, Federal Election Commission filings show.
